10 Young Players Destined to Shine in Euro Cup 2016

The 2015/16 season has seen a surge of impressive young talents. These players will look to inspire in the grand European stage of Euro Cup 2016.  We take an in-depth look at 10 players who we think will have an impressive campaign in France for the Euro Cup 2016.

1. Dele Alli (20) – England (Tottenham Hotspurs)

England looked hollow since the retirement of their golden generation of players. However, the emergence talented players like Dele Alli and Harry Kane has brought an aura of optimism back into the team. Dele Alli is one of the promising raw talent emerging from lower ranks of English Football, Jamie Vardy being a similar player who got recognition at a latter stage of his career.

The 20 year old midfielder played a huge part in Tottenham Hotspurs’ fight for the Premier League title, the midfielder bagging an astounding 46 appearances and scoring 10 goals in all competition. The Newly crowned PFA Player of the Year with be looking to pull the strings in the England midfield this summer in France for Euro Cup 2016 with his attacking flair and vision. Dele Alli is thus a player to shine this Euro Cup.

2. Hakan Calhanoglu (22) – Turkey (Bayer Leverkussen)

Dead-Ball specialist Hakan Calhanoglu, 22, is already as star player for his national team, Turkey. Technical and imaginative, he has been widely appraised. Calhanoglu plays like Mesut Ozil and scores free kicks in a Ronaldo/Juninho-esque style. A successful two seasons with Bayer Leverkussen, having created 41 goals in 93 appearances, and with 6 goals in 18 appearances for the Turkish National Team, Calhanoglu will be looking carry his national team to success in the European stage. Calhanoglu has impressed in pre-Euro Cup friendlies and will be surely be a player to watch in the Turkish outfit.

 

3. Yannick Ferreira Carrasco (22) – Belgium (Atletico Madrid)

Yannick Ferreira Carrasco, 22, played a huge part for Atletico Madrid on their Champions League campaign, despite the Rojiblancas having lost to Real Madrid on penalties in the final. His pace and dribbling abilities are a huge asset for the Belgium National Team who are one of the favorites to win the Euro Cup. The attacking midfielder, however will have huge competition from the likes of Eden Hazard and Dries Mertens. If got the chance to start for the national team, Carrasco is a player much likely to shine in the Euro Cup 2016.

4. Kingsley Coman (19) – France (Bayern Munich)

Kingsley Coman has become an integral part of the Bayern Munich squad with his pace, dribbles and bizzare goals. On loan from Juventus, the 19 year old French winger has been hailed the heir to Ribery both for France and Bayern Munich. The quick, talented and technically gifted winger will be showcasing his talent in front of his home crowd and is a sure thing to watch for this summer in France. Looking to impress the home crowd, Kingsley Coman can surely shine with the young squad playing beside him.

    I honestly think Marcus Rashford will have little game time with Harry Kane, Jamie Vardy and Wayne Rooney already fighting for that spot. However, he is quite a promising lad and we can’t count him out (though we counted him out of this list).
