5 Potential Summer Signings By Mourinho At Manchester United

Ever since Jose Mourinho was sacked by Chelsea, rumors were circulating in the transfer market that Jose Mourinho was the man to take the mantle at Manchester United. Now the deal is done and Manchester United have signed a three year deal with the acclaimed Portuguese sacking Louis Van Gaal. Manchester United is a club which Mourinho has always highly spoken of and given his outstanding records, United fans are certainly excited by his arrival at Old Trafford. While Mourinho’s records speak for themselves, he still has got a lot to do if he wants to make Manchester United a serious title contenders for next season. The squad needs improvement and given that Mourinho has been granted full control over the Manchester United transfers, he will not be sitting idle at the transfer market this summer. He has all the money and whole summer at his disposal. So, here we look at the 5 potential signings that he could be making this summer.

5. Saul Niguez

The Atletico Madrid midfielder is one of the hottest prospects in Spain and he certainly will be under Mourinho’s radar. He scored a sublime goal against Bayern Munich in UCL semi finals which possibly decided the tie in favor of the Rojiblancos. That was just an example of the immense talent he has got in him. The 21 year old will probably cost United around 54 million and if the deal is done, Saul will undoubtedly be a great addition to the Man United midfield.

4. Raphael Varane

Varane has been in and out of Real Madrid starting XI this season. With Zidane preferring to stick with more experienced central defensive partnership of Sergio Ramos and Pepe, Vanane might be propelled to Man United where he can be a regular starter. The French international has already worked with Mourinho at Real Madrid and he may as well be willing to work with the Portuguese again.

3. Paul Pogba

Paul Pogba was a United player but he left United for Juventus after publicly falling with the then manager Sir Alex Freguson. The 23 year old since then has been ever prolific and never looked back. With the news that Juventus have “informally” put the French international on the transfer market, Mourinho might be targeting Pogba to rejuvenate the United midfield. “The special one” tried to lure Pogba to Chelsea when he was Chelsea manager and this time around as well, he might try to tempt Pogba to United and build his team around him.
